Sodium Sulfate Solution Pipeline£º¡¡
Shanxi Nanfeng Group had a 250m section of brine pipeline with a diameter of 273 mm (Figure 3). In summer, scale occurred extremely fast¡ªwithin just two or three months, hard scale deposits could reach over 100 mm thick at bends and 25¨C50 mm in straight sections. The scale material was calcium sulfate, which is insoluble in acids and alkali and extremely hard. Complete removal required the entire workshop to hammer away with 18pound hammer for a full week. The factory repeatedly sought solutions through open bidding and tried various methods, including ultrasonic technology, but all failed. Eventually, they adopted Acoustic ScalePrevent Technology, installing eight transducers with a total power consumption of 320 watts, achieving immediate success. As a result, the factory saved annual maintenance costs of 144,000RMB, with projected benefits of 2.8 million RMB over 20 years.
